Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a silent form of meditation that involves the use of a mantra to focus the mind. Practitioners sit comfortably with their eyes closed and repeat a specific mantra silently. Dr. Genz finds that with daily practice, she finds relaxation, reduced stress, and improvement in her overall well-being. She also finds enhanced mental clarity, emotional stability, and self-awareness. She typically practices TM for 20 minutes, twice daily. There are many other forms of meditation that promote similar results. The key lies in practicing routinely.
